Reno Public House
Reno
Tucked on St. Lawrence just off the Midtown drag, Reno Public House is the kind of bar that makes you cancel the rest of your night. Reno Public House has been Midtown's living room for years, and it's earned the title. The room is brick, subway tile, worn wood, and warm caged lighting. The back bar tells you who they really are: Frey Ranch and Old Forester lined up next to Mijenta, Madre mezcal, Cynar, Averna, Campari, and a bitters lineup deep enough to make a cocktail nerd get quiet. That's manager Jack's playground. Ask him what he's into and get out of the way.
